How Radiofrequency Treatment Works
The aim of radiofrequency treatment is to:
- Release liquid fat from the subcutaneous tissue
- Remove the released fat via a patented lymphatic drainage mechanism
- Reshape the body by reducing localised fat and tightening the skin
The decreased fat layer results in a more pronounced and contoured silhouette. Simultaneously, the surrounding skin is further tightened using RF technology. It shrinks fat cells and eliminates localised fat deposits, which reduces cellulite appearance and contours the body into shape. Radiofrequency treatment is suitable for all skin types.
Radiofrequency treatment is non-surgical so it is designed to be a clinic-based treatment. Patients can return to their daily routine after treatment. It is recommended for both men and women who desire a firmed and tightened appearance. It is also designed to help post natal women regain their figure after delivery.
Radiofrequency (RF) & Dynamic Muscle Activation (DMA)
The radiofrequency energy heats up the subcutaneous fat tissue layer. The thermal effect from the energy accelerates the natural fat metabolism processes and forces the release of liquid fat from fat cells into the extra-cellular matrix.
The radiofrequency patented applicator accelerates drainage of the released liquid fat by applying internal and external pressure on the fat cell layer. Internally, the dynamic muscle activation (DMA) pulses are targeted at the muscle layer causing the muscles to contract. This contraction elevates the underlying muscles and pushes the fat cells upwards to the surface. Simultaneously, the mechanical pressure of the applicator presses on the fat cells from above. This results in an hourglass effect that induces liquid fat drainage and decreases fat cell layer volume.
The combined effect of the radiofrequency and the muscle contraction results in the homogenous heating of both the dermal and hypo-dermal layers. This heating accelerates blood and lymph circulation.
On the dermis layer, focused radiofrequency energy heats up collagen fibres causing them to contract. As the collagen strands are pulled closer together, the skin becomes tighter. In parallel, the heating effect accelerates the metabolism of the fibroblasts, which augments collagen regeneration and yields skin tightening to treat wrinkles on the face, neck, chin and cheeks.
