Vein Removal
Vein disorders cause a lot of unnecessary aggravation and embarrassment. The most common vein disorder treated is spider veins. Depending on the severity, spider veins and other disorders can be treated using a type of IPL treatment.
Our IPL treatment treats fine vein disorders using non-invasive, non-surgical technology.
Short pulses of light are delivered to the vein through the skin’s surface. They are absorbed by the haemoglobin (the substance that gives blood the reddish, purple colour) and converted into heat. This heat causes the walls of the vein to collapse which reduces the blood flow and thereby removing these unsightly vessels (spider veins).
We use IPL technology combined with a contact cooling function, which collapses the veins while protecting the outer layers of skin. The pulse wavelength discharged enables the light to reach the target veins under the skin so quickly that there is not enough time for the skin to be damaged.
With each treatment, the number of visible vessels decline, leading to successful vein removal treatment over several sessions.
