Wrinkles & Lines

When we are young, our skin is more elastic and firmer. With ageing, wrinkles and lines like frown lines, forehead lines and eye wrinkles (crow’s feet) start to form and tend to become deeper and ultimately permanent with time.

Dynamic wrinkles occur because of repeated muscle contractions on the face. Static wrinkles occur naturally due to the loss of skin elasticity and collagen. Other factors that contribute to wrinkles include prolonged sun exposure, smoking and air pollution.

There are several ways to minimise the appearance of these unsightly lines, such as applying sunscreen, moisturising creams and taking anti-oxidants. At GynaeMD Women’s & Rejuvenation Clinic, we provide wrinkle-reducing injection treatment.

Wrinkles Treatment

Our wrinkle-reducing injections are non-surgical doctor-administered injections of purified protein derived from the Clostridium botulinum bacteria. These injections block the transmission of nerve impulses to the facial muscles, thereby relaxing the muscles and reducing the occurrence of wrinkles. The aim is not to interfere with facial expression so that you do not have to stop smiling to restore your natural beauty.

It is FDA approved for patients aged between 18 to 65. This aesthetic treatment can be used to treat various wrinkles and lines like crow’s feet, forehead lines, frown lines and nasal wrinkles. The treatment has no downtime so you will be able to have the procedure and resume normal activities shortly after. The effects last for up to 4 months so simple touch-up treatments several times a year are recommended in order to maintain your desired results.

For square jaw reshaping, these therapeutic injections in higher doses can contour square jaw lines by relaxing the muscles of the lower face, thereby creating a slimmer feminine jaw line. It is also recommended as a treatment of choice to reduce the harmful effects of subconscious teeth grinding during sleep.

From routine women’s health needs to complex medical issues, our clinic is here to support you.
